The Lost Warhols: Bringing Andy Home

Exhibit: The Lost Warhols, a one-of-a-kind art exhibition based on images of Andy Warhol, is a collection of 66 unique works. The exhibit features Karen Bystedt's original photographs of Andy Warhol taken in 1983, as well as a series of collaborative mixed media works by critically acclaimed and emerging street artists such as Peter Tunney, Speedy Graphito, Gregory Siff, Bradley Theodore, and The Producer BDB. This marks the first time all 66 works will be exhibited as an ensemble. The eclectic pieces are all for sale to benefit God's Love We Deliver, the metropolitan area's leading provider of medically-tailored, nutritious meals for people who are too sick to shop or cook for themselves. Global Lyme Alliance Greenwich Gala

The Greenwich Gala is a signature event for GLA and plays a key role in GLA's overall fundraising efforts to conquer Lyme and other tickborne diseases. The Gala also brings attention to the injustice thousands of Lyme disease patients suffer every day through the bravery of the event's honorees. This special evening also acknowledges a Lyme disease researcher who has made a significant impact in our fight. The 2016 and 2017 Greenwich Galas raised nearly $2 million collectively.

Kaufman Music Center will present longtime Executive Director Lydia Kontos with the Lifetime Achievement Award at our 2018 Gala on Monday, May 14, 2018 at Guastavino’s in New York City. Lydia will be recognized for her distinguished career at Kaufman Music Center, which has spanned nearly 40 years, on the occasion of her retirement (planned for fall 2018). The Gala will feature performances by outstanding guest artists, including: living legends of the flute, Sir James Galway and Lady Jeanne Galway, both renowned for gracing stages throughout the world with eloquence and virtuosity; and acclaimed soprano Ailyn Pérez, hailed by the New York Times as a performer who “commands the stage” and “a major soprano."
