The TEAK Fellowship’s 20th Anniversary Gala
October 25 @ 6:30 pm - 9:30 pm
On Thursday, October 25, 2018 The TEAK Fellowship will celebrate its 20th Anniversary with a benefit gala at The Mandarin Ballroom. The organization, dedicated to the academic success of talented New York City students, is honoring TEAK Founder and Chair Emeritus, Justine Stamen Arrillaga. The event will be held at the beautiful Mandarin Ballroom at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Manhattan overlooking Columbus Circle and Central Park.
This year marks a milestone for The TEAK Fellowship as they celebrate 20 years of transforming lives and lifting communities. In 1998, Justine Stamen Arrillaga had a vision for addressing education inequality for bright and motivated New York City students facing economic hardships. Twenty years later, 250 exceptional students have completed The TEAK Fellowship, with another 300 TEAK students currently enrolled in middle school, high school, and college. Brown, Columbia, Wesleyan, Williams, and Cornell account for the top five schools where the most Fellows have matriculated. TEAK Alumni are pursuing careers in education, medicine, law, finance, and technology while giving back to their communities and the world at large. TEAK is thrilled to honor Justine Stamen Arrillaga at this special gathering of past Board Chairs, supporters, friends, and alumni.
