Onishi Project, the art management division of Onishi Gallery in Chelsea, is proud to present two upcoming pop-up exhibitions that will run from June 16 to 29. You are cordially invited to our opening reception on Thursday, June 16, 6-8pm at Onishi Gallery at 521 West 26th Street. Please find the information of the shows below.
The first show is a Pop Up Exhibition by MyMicroGallery curated by Stefania Carrozzini who is based in Milan, Italy. Called ‘The Heart Beat of Mother Earth,’ this traveling exhibition project gathers the work of nine artists hailing from countries across the world including Australia, Peru, Italy, and Switzerland. Conceived as a meeting of personal cosmologies, the exhibition stages the continuous challenge of the artists to find a point of connection between the Self and the Universe, subjective, and collective. It invites viewers to reflect upon the point of connection between ourselves and Entirety, to create a place of real belonging which has its vital point in art and creation.
The second show is a recent photography exhibition with works by Sumio Koizumi, Yoshiko Ehara, Michio Kumagai and Motoo Saito, four cutting-edge Japanese artists bound together by the fact that their photography careers all began after the year 2000. Since then, they have exhibited internationally in Italy, France, and Japan and have succeeded in mastering this medium to merge what is visible to the human eye with what is visible to the mind’s eye.
