Green-Wood Historic Fund’s Seventh Annual Fundraising Gala
September 18, 2014 @ 6:00 pm - 9:30 pm$250
Earl & Gina Ingoglia Weiner will receive The DeWitt Clinton Award for Excellence — the Green-Wood Historic Fund’s highest honor — at the seventh annual fundraising gala taking place on September 18, 2014 at Green-Wood Cemetery, a National Historic Landmark located in Brooklyn.
The evening will feature cocktails alfresco followed by a seated dinner in one of the city’s most historic natural landscapes and an award presentation. The event’s silent auction will include “a brief live auction of six outstanding items” – unique items and experiences, each with a special tie to Green-Wood and its history. The honorees will give remarks and all proceeds will support Green-Wood’s new Visitors Center in the historic Weir greenhouse, plus the myriad public programs it offers every year, including trolley and walking tours, programs, concerts and outdoor theater.
As Brooklynites for more than 45 years, Earl and Gina have been lifelong champions of arts and culture and have dedicated themselves to theater, history and historic preservation, education, and beautiful landscapes in our city. Together, they create a perfect tribute to DeWitt Clinton, who was a devoted supporter of the cultural growth of the city and the state of New York. In addition, this year marks Earl’s 30th anniversary as a Green-Wood trustee.
