Exclusive Tasting of New Artisansal Tequil Tequilas

November 14, 2014 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

$65
Roca Patron bottles

Experience the difference the centuries old “tahona” process makes at this intimate – just eight participants – tasting of Patron’s new Roca line of small batch artisanal tequilas at Clement Restaurant & Bar. It will be led by Roca Patrón expert mixologist Josh Mazza at Clement’s convivial communal table, situated in a cozy alcove overlooking Fifth Avenue. He will introduce participants to Roca Patrón Silver, Reposado and Añejo (one glass of each per taster) and describe the labor-intensive “tahona” process that makes them so special, so distinctively earthy and complex. It’s a process that has been abandoned by most tequila makers in favor of modern crushing methods, but Roca adheres to the practice in order to extract a purer agave flavor. To whet the palates of the spirited evening’s tequila tasters, they will be greeted with a welcome cocktail, while their appetites will be addressed by tequila-inspired tapas by Clement’s chef, Brandon Kida.

There will be three seatings for just eight guests each, at 6, 7 and 8 p.m. Advance reservations required. Please call (212) 903-3051.
